Strategic Management for Affordable Housing in Pacora
In November 2017, CVG Construction Management took part in the strategic planning and construction management of the Haciendas de San Antonio project, located in Pacora, Panama City. The project delivered 140 affordable housing units, aimed at improving the living conditions of Panamanian families and contributing to local urban development.
Challenges and Strategic Solutions
A major challenge was maintaining cost efficiency and project viability, while adhering to tight deadlines. Coordinating multiple teams and implementing Echostone wall technology required advanced planning and real-time tracking.
The team worked in a double-shift model, pouring walls in the early morning and foundations in the afternoon, streamlining progress. On-site concrete production, reuse of formwork, and strategic negotiations with suppliers helped keep costs under control.
Results and Learnings
Approximately 140 homes were successfully delivered, boosting the quality of life in the region. The use of innovative technology, strong team coordination, and efficient resource management made the project a success.
